Robert Wander's Crystal Candy Collection features the natural beauty of emerald, green beryl, aquamarine, yellow beryl, morganite, imperial topaz, and tourmaline. All gems have been cut and polished in our unique way to bring out the glory of Mother Nature in each stone.

DETAILS

Finding his inspiration in the magnificent inclusions and unusual details that each gem possesses, Robert Wander enhanced these colorful beauties further by "mirror cutting" and “surface cutting" each stone to reflect its unique character.

As the "'mirror cut" denotes, the stone is faceted to reflect each of its interior characteristics. The "surface cut" takes the mirror cut, and then cleaves one edge to a rough face, allowing its "broken" detail to reflect throughout the stone. Robert carries the design to completion by encasing each jewel in 18k gold and accenting the designs with pave chocolate diamonds, tsavorite garnets and multi-colored sapphires.

Each jewel in the Crystal Candy Collection is one-of-a-kind. There are no two pieces that are alike. Robert Wander designs the jewelry around the gemstones. When each piece is received the stone is evaluated, then the appropriate setting is designed.

SALES HISTORY

The Crystal Candy Collection made its debut in 2002 at the Couture Collection and Conference and was very well received. The resulting sell-through of the thirty-piece collection by Christmas 2002 was approximately 90%.

A second collection of Crystal Candy was next shown at Centurion by Invitation in Tucson, Arizona in February 2003 and the reaction was even more exuberant. Nearly the entire collection was sold in the four-day show.

In the year since Crystal Candy debuted it has been featured on the cover of several international publications and in numerous articles. In the August issue of Modem jeweler, fashion director Lorraine Depasque wrote of the JCK Show, Las Vegas that Crystal Candy was "one of the stars of the recent shows. To put it plainly, Robert highlights the beauty of flawed gems, faceting them to accentuate the look of raw, natural stones."

Due to its limited production, we are only presenting these collections in a limited number of locations. Crystal Candy will only be available in select stores. We cannot provide enough pieces to a mass market. These pieces are one-of-a-kind works of art and will be sold as such.

Set up an appointment to view the collection at any of our 2004 trade shows. We'll be at the Centurion by Invitation show in February in Tucson, the Couture Collection and Conference in Arizona in May and the JCK Show in Las Vegas in June.
